Due South Energy is offering leisure centre owners an opportunity to save considerable amounts of money from the free electricity that our solar PV systems generate.

You may have considered investing in a solar PV system yourself but then found that the initial costs were too much for your business to bear.

We pay for the installation, you share the benefit

We can help to overcome this barrier by making that investment in the solar PV system but then giving you the benefits of the free electricity generated or an income in return for the use of your roof. The benefit to Due South Energy is that we receive the Feed-In Tariff (FIT) payments for all the electricity generated.

Lifetime and guarantees

Due South Energy is responsible for the efficient and safe working of the system on your premises and takes care of any maintenance or replacement parts for the full 25 year lease period. Typically this would involve a 6 monthly visual inspection. All systems are monitored remotely to allow swift identification and rectification of any faults to allow maximum generation from the installation.

There are no working parts in a solar PV panel which means that faults are rare.

Do I qualify for rent a roof?

• The largest system that we can install under this scheme is 50KW. This is approximately 200 solar PV panels and needs 400m² of south facing roof.
• Is your health club located in Mid to South UK (south of Birmingham)?
• Is your leisure centre roof south facing?
• Roof should not be shaded by trees, chimneys, water tanks, or be located in an area that has dusty emissions.
• Is your roof constructed from asbestos? If it is, it will be unsuitable.
• Is your roof structurally sound with a life expectancy of at least 25 years?
